There are something in the configuration you will WANT to change.
As for the logitech loading up, sounds to me that there was a whole bunch of stuff not gotten off the computer when you uninstalled it. Like the Logitech folder with all the install .exes in it.

Thanks for that heads up Train. Sad as it is to say, misery loves company. The free bar is open folks. As in all businesses, there is aways someone who has to screw around with a product to show their skills and to show the boss they are "on the job". Looks like someone took that sage advice presented in these pages over the years "if it ain't broke, play with it until it is so we can fix it", or words to that effect. JC

Pardon me, but are you complaining about the Spybot software or the Logictech? Or both?
After reading the responses I assume it is the Logitech software, and the fact that the uninstall applet did NOT get all of the left-overs. Several good registry cleaners are needed, frequently, to insure the cleanest possible system. Do a search here and see what the peeoples here think about the various cleaners. I use MS' regclean, JV's regcleaner and Registry Healer.

Dudley: Read my heading again: "SpyBot version 1.4 BE VERY CAREFUL". That would indicate that the problem was SpyBot in the first instance and its undesirable affect on other programs as a secondary problem. I have used Registry Detective for many years with excellent results. No I don't know why the Logitech items did not disappear entirely, perhaps in my zeal to dump Logitech I neglected to do a clean sweep. Perhaps SpyBot dredged up old dormant items and freshened them up thinking that surely to god everyone would want all their old junk reinstalled or brought to the surface. That seems to be the common thinking by software programmers.
Train: Not sure what you are saying: "My thoughts are, who is paying whose wages to have there stuff ignored". Did I just get my wrists slapped???
And how did I get demoted to virtual intern after many years here and in VirtualDr's previous version?? JC

You, no WAY!
I am talking about the maker/writer of the program. We have nothing to do with that !

When they updated the software, they changed what everyone was called.
Plus they changed the number of post one has to have to reach the next level.
