If you just need a definition, have you tried Googling "SQL Dumper Library" ? Otherwise try a pro forum like Tek-tips or EggHeadCafe.

    Red face Introduce myself

I am a retired audio/video dabbler with no training and limited experience. I have a new problem with a 5.1 audio system and hoped to obtain some guidance.

Funny to see BpB with 41 posts instead of 41,000 plus.

Hi, I'm new, I like Windows PCs, especially Windows 7 and I enjoy working with computers and trying to figure things out and solve problems.

    Smile Hi. Just registered.

Hi everybody, I'm Lisa and I know almost nothing about the workings of my computer, except that it probably shouldn't be smelling like burning plastic (the least of its problems) And I hate to be in need and not helping in return (unless you're in western mass and need sewing), so if there's a site better suited to needy newbies, let me know.

Burning plastic, kind of sounds like the power supply is fixing to go out.

Might want to post that problem in

    And Welcome to VDR.

The smell is intermittent, not constant. I wondered if I should have a cooling pad under the laptop. You mentioned power supply. I have gone through two AC adaptors, which is weird. I expected them to last longer. I'm not on the laptop all that much.

It would help if you can get it up so air can get under it and a cooling pad just may do the trick.

I'll pick one up. Also, I've heard that people re-load their OS every so often to get rid of glitches. I use Windows XP Professional, service pack 3. Would you recommend that? I guess I'd have to get an external hard drive to back up my files. I don't know if that could fix the problem I have with incomplete web page display.
