OPening Email with jpg,bmp,gif locks system

Just a few days ago I could open email with the subject graphics and they automatically ran. Now I get this error message:

Have performed complete reload of Netscape and made new user profile now my brain is fried. Ideas anyone????

There are a number of hits that will show if you fire up your favorite search engine and search for msvcrt.dll, and this is one of them.
