win 2000 \ Nero 6 ultra INCD problem

Nero 6 updated ultra. INCD is installed but after formatting a Memorex,
or any other R-RW Media disk,
when a file is dropped in to the INCD drive
INCD won't write to it, a massage pop up that says the "disk is write protected or other application is using it",
I scanned for viruses and there are none on w2k.
Spyware, and bugs are not present as well,
w2k, DM say that the SONY DRU R-RW DVD 510a, the device is working properly,
in my computer the drive is listed as INCD drive and that is correct,
    it show the disk size,
but not the available free space of a empty and formatted R-RW disk,
    or as for example:
In wxp pro (Same Rig different Partition) and the same Nero 6 ultra updated version,
INCD is doing it's job writing to R-RW media and my computer show the free space available of the R-RW Media.
Now back to W2k is there a known problem with w2k INCD and how does one fix this.
Every thing else in Nero works.....

Do you have any other packet writing software installed on the system that may be causing the problem?

104456 Of course not, since I knew that nero doesn't support most other packet writing software, furthermore I have nero installed on wxp and I've no problem with INCD, although I've tons of disk copying stuff there....

What UDF version are you formatting these discs to (InCD gives you options). V1.5 is probably best. Also, there is an InCD option which says to use CD-MRW (mount rainier) formatting, which may be on by default (I forget). You do not want this on with Win2k.
Please remember to post back whether your problem is resolved or
not, so that others may gain from the knowledge.

This drive doesn't support MRW, write but it's good for read
    the UDF version is 1.50,
the strange fact is that in WXP INCD is working properly,
(Same Rig Same hardware)but with a lot more writing software, CloneCD, CloneDVD, Decripor etc.
and Nero works perfectly on all the options.
This problem exist only in W2K and only on INCD,
the rest of Nero works as it's supposed to I haven't head a coaster yet!

OK I resolved the problem with INCD by first uninstalling that garbage,
then installed a different packet writing software that works on all version of windows and most R-RW media labels,
DVD R-RW and cd R-RW, without the clatter on the systray. It's called DLA=DRive, Letter, Access,
the free upgrade (actually it's a full working program) is found at: http://www.iomega.com/software/dlaupgrade.html
(11MB download) but the flip side is,
it take quite a bit of disk space (about 200Mb)for a full format,
it uses UDF 150, but if one uses A DVD R-RW it's a small price to "pay" for something that is a sure shot,
    and above all Free,
    something also to consider,
DLA is NOT compatible with Roxio direct CD, or Nero INCD,
but if one have Nero V 5X or V 6X one have just to uninstall INCD,
and then install DLA, the rest of Nero will work just fine.So far it's working without a glitch.
