    Adaware CD with updates?

Is there a way to get Adaware and Spybot on a CD with the latest updates on it? I would like to scan a computer that does not have internet access.

MaryBobo1--As you probably already know, the free AdAware download is 1.61MB--Just 10% over the limit for putting on a floppy. Obviously you could burn it to a CD from another (internet connected) PC and then transfer.
You can buy AdAwarePlus on a CD here

Updates will have to be done by downloading to a floppy from another, internet connected, PC. Updates come out very often, which is mainly a function of the development skills and numbers of the bad guys. Any CD you could buy would soon be out of date as far as updates are concerned.

However, if the PC you are planning to use AdAware on has no internet connection (and I assume no email), the chances of it being infected are very small. Do you have any reason to believe it really is infected? Most spyware comes from emails, surfing, and downloading programs, music, etc. It is rare to find it on commercially available programs, which seem to be the only outside source of bytes and bits that this PC ever sees.

Thanks for the reply Welsh. You mentioned that the updates can be download and put on a CD. How do I download them to save to a disk?. Can I also do this with Spybot?

Um, go to the download page and save the update to your hard drive before burning ?

    http://lavasoft.element5.com/support/download/

    http://updates.ls-servers.com/reflist.zip

Manual Installation: Unzip the archive, replace the existing file and restart Ad-aware\Ad-watch.

    And for Spybot ...

    http://spybot.eon.net.au/files/spybotsd_includes.exe

This updates the detection rules. Only needed if you do not want to use the update function integrated into Spybot-S&D.

Only needed if you do not use the integrated update

There is no such thing as overkill. 'Open fire' and 'is it dead?' are the only sane options when threatened.

MaryBobo1--Unlike the installation program itself, the updates are small enough to put on a floppy which you can then take to the PC which has no internet connection and install.
