    johnking,
Sorry about not giving you all the info but I went on the assumtion that someone with a lot more experience than I have will know what the pertinent questions are. At which time I would be more than happy to answer the best I could.

To screw things up further I just notced that the icon in the systray is Xed out. Is it now disabled? But I still would like to get rid of the icon from the systray Xed out or not.
Thanks for staying with me on this.

In msconfig (start/run type msconfig) uncheck it in the startup tab. I can't recall exactly what it's called since I've removed it from my old 98 system years ago but it's something like mmtask or similar.

VirtualDr email notices are not working.
    Check back regularly for responses.

    johnking,
Went to System Config/Startup Tab and got rid of Easy Access Button by uncheking CPQEASYCC then unchecked Critical Update and got rid of Task Schedular

For most, task schedular (if active) is in msconfig startup programs as SchedulingAgent..............mstinit.exe
Unchecking this stops TS and removes the tray icon.
But you solved it with all the help above.
    Hooray!!
