need to filter internet access from kids

    Hi All,
i currently have a wireless network among 3 pcs that share internet. 2 pc's are for my kids. use linksys router with 4 ethernet port as access point. I want to prevent kids from surfing to adult sites. Should i look into software such as net nanny or is there something i can configure in router to filter traffic.

    Thanks in Advance
    Concerned Dad

    Arrow Re: Content Advisor

Just use the IE content advisor - With Internet Explorer (IE) open; Tools; Internet Options; Content tab. Same function; no cost; passwordable; builtin; customizable. Just don't use any other browser than IE. Recommend you get all the Critical Updates from http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com.

Make the password at least eight characters, not easily guessable; combination of upper and lower case letters and numbers. See the password generators below if you need ideas.

    Phonetic - http://www.multicians.org/thvv/gpw.html

Symantec's Norton Internet Security does have a Parental Control and allow you to block sites. You may also want to check with your ISP. They might have something available for you to use.
