[RESOLVED] Outlook Express links don't work
I am using Outlook Express 6.0 with WinXP. The links that I receive in email messages no longer work when I click on them. The only changes I have made recently were attempts to eliminate MS messenger. Should I uninstall/reinstall OE 6.0? Is this likely to be a problem with MS Explorer 6.0?

any email program is greatly exposed to corruption, a repair or uninstall/reinstall would probably solve your problem.

Hi If you reinstall then this should have been set but just in case check this :-Get HTTP Hyperlinks in OE to Open IE - Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/File Types. Scroll down to
URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol/Advanced/Edit. Under Application used to perform action it should read:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome

Tiger, I had the same problem, Give this a try.
Reset Web Settings
Start Internet Explorer.
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Programs tab, and then click the Reset Web Settings button.
Under Internet programs, verify that the correct e-mail program is selected.
Click to select the Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser check box.
Click Apply, and then click OK.
NOTE: You may receive the following message when Internet Explorer starts:
Internet Explorer is not currently your default browser. Would you like to make it your default browser?
If you receive the message, click Yes.
Hope that works for you

Hey, thanks, guys. Spike, resetting the web settings in IE did the trick without reinstalling OE. I obviously made some change that I shouldn't have. I'll be careful about this in the future. Thanks again.
