    Explorer.exe problem

When I right click "My Computer", left click "explorer", right click either of my CD icons I get the following
    error msg:

"Explore.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows
Your will need to restart the program.

An error log is being created"

Right clicking the CD-RW icon is the only way I can eject the CD tray. Restarting does not help.

Hi I have heard of Malware causing this can you run a Virus scan and a check for spyware(use Spybot). There is a workaround use
alt-ctrl-del sequence. If the Windows Task Manager dialog box appears, and it usually does, select the File menu and then New Task (Run). When the Create New Task dialog box appears, type in Explorer and press the OK button. Windows Explorer should restart complete with the Start button.

Jenae - your suggestions didn't work. I tried uninstalling the software that allows me to use my CD-R/W and then reinstalling - it fixed the problem - don't ask me why. Happy New Year
