Outlook Express and IDX files???
I've been trying to help my daughter, but I'm stumped. She upgraded to IE 6 and, of course, Outlook Express 6. Now, all her old email files(Inbox, Sent, etc.) are "gone". I searched her drive for .DBX files, but only found the ones created since OE 6 was installed. I did find IDX and MBX files, but I don't have a clue what to do with them. Do these files contain the "old" OE data?
Thanks,
Rocky

I found this on another forum. Someone had .idx files and needed something to extract the mails. Apparently it worked for him.

I looked at the sites suggestion by the previous 2 replys, but neither dealt with IDX files. I downloaded DBExtract, but it seems to only deal with DBX files.
Thanks for trying to help!
