Try going to Start->Run and typing SYSDM.cpl and or Modem.cpl and let us know what happens.

Stevie, Stevie, Stevie... *tsk tsk tsk*... You can't open a control panel using the Run command unless you've somehow associated the control panel with *.cpl files

hawky, go to My Computer (or Windows Explorer) and go to the Windows\System folder. Find the sysdm.cpl and modem.cpl files Steve mentioned and right click on them, then select "Open with control panel".
Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow.

Dr.Gibbs, Dr.Gibbs, Dr.Gibbs and if they are already associated with the control panel but are missing, the run command will work like a charm
