System reboots with 5125MB RAM
Windows 98 SE fresh install, previously running with a stick of 32MB. System mainboard is a Jetway TX98. Client just had a stick of 512MB SDRAM installed (not sure weather PC100 or PC133) and now Windows reboots after a few minutes while in the GUI!

apparently a tech at a PC shop told them a 512MB SDRAM module was fine for this board. I just downloaded the manual:
http://www.jetway.com.tw/evisn/downl...et7/J-tx98.exe
found this in the manual:
Memory expansion: Support 3 Banks of DRAM from 8MB to 384MB, and supports all kind of D-RAM type including FAST PAGE D-RAM, E.D.O. D-RAM and Synchronous D-RAM.
I'm not sure what this board handles!

As you say, the TX98 (and TX98B for that matter) appear to only handle up to 384mb of ram. What's the bios show for the installed memory?
Please remember to post back whether your problem is resolved or
not, so that others may gain from the knowledge.

system not here, can anyone confirm how many DIMM slots this board and email me the pic to icirjak@fechshs.sa.edu.au. Ahh, I'm guessing it will only support 128MB sticks.

You posted what it has. 3 Banks or slots. Also the largest you can fill them with is 128mb X 3 =384 mb.
