Question How can I open DBF files please?

My windows can not open DBF files. Where is the best place to obtain the download of reliable and trustworthy relevant drivers or programme or what ever I need to open the DBF?

These are data base files originally defined by dBASE II. You can download a viewer from here:

    http://www.dbfview.com/how-to-open-dbf.html

This site also has instructions on use of DBF files.

Where did the files come from? They are "database" file and if you google DBF Viewer you can find an app to look inside them...
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

Thanx guys I will give it a shot.
I was surfing and came across some kind of programme or files - I am not sure. But it stopped me because my XP flagged a message that Windows can't open a DBF file. I have never heard of a DBF file so I became interested.

Is this likely to corrupt my computer, if get involved in looking up DBF?

These are data files which are not executable. I've never heard of a hack involving DBF files. However, your description of how and where you found the files worries me. Be very cautious with files and programs you "come across" when surfing the net.

point taken. I will steer clear of such stuff...I know what curiosity did to the cat. I do not want it to do the same to my computer.

    Thanx for the guidance
