Thanks.
Any idea how it got on my machine if I didn't put it there and I'm the sole user?
I did install a new graphics card and Sim City 4 recently but that's about it.

Hi.
I was just removing programs from my hard drive and I noticed something in my Add/Remove Programs list called MSXML4 Parser.
This wasn't there a few weeks ago and I certainly didn't put it...

Hi.
I just bought a Geforce 4 ti4200 card to replace my G2.
Some of my less financially challenged friends are giving me a hard time about my purchase.
Basically, I'm hearing things like "Are...

sorry, I wasn't clear.
My g4 wouldn't work at all until I actually ran the drivers from the Cd that came with the card.

Hi.
Just wanted to bump this one up.
Although the links were helpful I couldn't really find an answer to my question:

Actually Whippet,
My new GeForce 4 does exactly the same thing.

MiseryQ,
Ok, you're my hero. ;-)
I just followed your advice:
I switched to generic VGA drivers.
Removed the Nvidia drivers from Add/Remove programs.
Rebooted and ran Detonator destroyer....

Thanks again MiseryQ,
No I didn't remove the Detanator drivers I was using with my earlier card.
The guy who sold me that new card told me that since both cards use the same drivers not to bother...

Me again,
Just got off the phone with a few retailers.
Apparently all the GeForce 4 Ti4200 AGP8X cards are 128MEG.
It doesn't make sense to me to change an 8X 128MEG card for a 64MEG 4X card...

I just bought a 128MEG GeForce 4 Ti 4200.
I'd originally intended to buy a 64MEG card but was "upsold" to the 128MEG.
I specifically mentioned to the sales rep that I'd heard that the 64MEG cards...

I've just switched from a GeForce 2MX to a Geforce 4 Ti4200 128 MEG.
I use Windows 98SE and have 512 MEGs of RAM.
I'm having some trouble with the AGP aperture size settings.
I had mistakenly...

I'm running Windows 98SE.
Windows wouldn't recoginse the new card at first.
I had basic VGA graphics but no display...

Thought you guys might be curious to know that I'm running the 4072 drivers with a 128MEG GEForce4 Ti 4200.
Thing is, I can't seem to change these drivers.
I've started a new thread "Can't change...
