Might help to remove your soundcard driver in Device Manager, and also in Safe Mode and restart the PC so that windows will reinstall your sound card driver.

Or type msconfig in RUN. Check if any related program is starting at windows startup. Uncheck it.

Depending on location, usually if you purchase a processor and a motherboard, the shop can test it for you. If it's running past bios setup, you can proceed from there.

Got winME and a webcam. How do I setup live video conferencing? Chat with video? What freewares do I need? Minimum processor speed? Am using 56K dialup in Duron 1.4.

If you image your files, it can be restored easily whether partitioned or not.

Better way to install video card drivers is to change current driver first to Standard VGA driver, reboot, then install your driver.

If the beep code points to the memory, focus in there. Try other memory slots, or try another stick of memory.
