Is there anyway for me to find that out? As I've said, my friend went to India and doesn't have access to the internet often. Also, I'm not convinced he'd know the type of encryption.

From what I found out the AirPort is 802.11n
The notebook is: 802.11b/g/n
So there should be no problem.
I have the passphrase. But it's not connecting.
