    It was originally set for DVI but I changed it to VGA. No difference.

    Someone else is suggesting the possiblity of the port on my laptop not being good. If that's it where do I buy a new port?

    I didn't try a different cable because both external monitors I tried worked with another laptop (same make and model but about 6 mos older).

    monitor is HP S2031
    laptop is Toshiba Satelite L3050

    DVI - no signal

    External monitors (tried 2 now) plugged into my laptop keep displaying a DVI No signal message (as well as video cable unplugged) and the color is all blue/greena and yellow as though it's missing...
