On the computer you have hooked to the router go into a command prompt.
type in "ipconfig /release" without quotes - Hit Enter
type in "ipconfig /renew" without quotes - Hit Enter

All you should have to do is go into the BIOS, change the boot settings to boot from CDROM first, put in your XP CD, and restart the laptop.

Probably not much you can do since it is an older laptop, but you could always try updating the BIOS. Maybe the current BIOS has a bug in it. Just a thought.

I get your point, but there is a difference. With Zipping a file I can get any file attached to my post. Might as well allow all file formats then because in truth you aren't blocking anything...
