I looked through my permission settings myself and I didn't see anything wrong or even much to edit.
However....I was told by our IT guy to use the method of opening Excel first, then pointing to...

We do, but it's a small company and everyone works remotely.
I'm trying to figure out why some files open and others don't. It's got to be a permissions setting somewhere in Sharepoint. It seems...

I uninstalled the MS updates on a secondary pc at the office because it started doing the exact same thing. It didn't help to uninstall the updates.
I'm thinking now that something changed in my...

I don't have the freedom to share the macro code here as it was written by our internal IT team.
I do plan to undo two of the most recent MS updates and see what happens. If that was the culprit,...

Sometimes I actually can open files from Sharepoint, but when running a macro from a file that is on Sharepoint that reads from that same directory, it says...

The error message is: Sorry, we couldn't open 'P\file_string.xlsx'

What's interesting is that it is now working. I'm not sure which task fixed it.
I ran the System File Checker tool and it indicated that there were errors that it did fix in Windows.
I also now...

I had seen that page and tried most of those. When I open Excel in SafeMode it does open without issues.
My version of Excel doesn't show a startup folder as indicated in the suggestions. I guess...

I ran the full repair and it said it repaired it, but it didn't make any change to the problem. :(
I noticed that this is happening to Word as well.
Any other suggestions....?

I'm learning a lot so far, but questions on the Outlook.
Can Outlook read all of the emails...
