I'm in the process of deleting a lot of old stuff from my drive and using Treesize to see what the large files are. I have emptied the recycle bin and rebooted, but Treesize is finding 13 GB of...

I received a nice 240 GB SSD for Father's Day! My Windows 10 system is working fine but relies on spinning rust, so I want to install the SSD as the boot drive and use the old HD for storage. I...

I got it working. I was reading the MS Xbox support site, and it said some routers need to have UPnP turned off to work with Xbox live. So I tried it, and lo and behold, it worked!
Happy New...

But of course! ;)
As a matter of fact, it was working just fine when I had an 802.11b wireless router. But no, I had to go and upgrade! :o

The signal strength is fine. The problem is in the router; either I need to change some settings or it is simply incompatible with XBL. The router is not on Microsoft's recommended list, but that...

Title says it all. I'm guessing it can, but I thought I'd ask before I try it.

It does already, because that is where my original installation is. And the replacement drive does boot all the way to the welcome screen before it hangs.

I am trying to use Ghost 2003 to move my XP Pro OS partition from an old hard drive to a new, larger drive. I made an image of the original partition, then restored the image onto the new partition...

It sounds like you have both wireless networking and wire connection enabled, so your computer is (helpfully?) pointing out that the wired connection is unplugged. All you need to do is disable the...

The new power supply has fixed the issue.

I decided to order a new power supply and it will arrive Friday. I was supicious of my old one anyway (a no-name brand that is three years old) because in addition to turn-on problems my PC also...

Lately my computer has had an intermittent start problem. When the power button is pushed nothing will happen. Sometimes repeated pushing of the button will start the system, and sometimes it will...
