It's all in the msdos.sys
It has to show Windows where to start
I have my bootdisk's msdos.sys
set so the boot menu always comes up
This way I can do whatever I want.

It sounds like a Registry problem.
Try this if you have the System.1st file in your boot drive.
Backup your registry.

Sounds like a registry problem.
Try reinstalling.
Don't uninstall shared programs.

Delete all file out of your TEMP file.

You can Delete it in Dos.
