Nope, couldn't open them either. After all this, it did manage to burn the CD properly and that's all he needed. Now, he can do a complete restore and start fresh.

I have managed to get open a CD writable folder that's integrated within Windows. It is burning the files that he wants to save. Hopefully this will work!!! :D

It doesn't have anything in the BIOS saying PS/2. I looked in everything that was available. The chip on the main board says Phoenix Bios but it's an Award Bios.
