I guess it was what I asked, eh? ;) Got to watch what you designate when building partitions, Rev

I hope you meant 931GB not MB? If you did mean MB, I can see why you'd get error messages, Rev. ;)

It feels kind of pointless now to do what I was hoping to get done. :(

Still haven't set this up. Brother discontinued the 400Mbs speed. So, we're back to 100Mbs. :(

Thanks! I lost that page because my computer did a oops and I lost all my tabs I had up. It was during a update with FireFox that this happened. I've sent the link to myself in gmail, so I can view...

I have another question on going AP on this router. I went to TP-Link support and found a video on how to use the router as an access point but it talks about using cables to connect the main router...

I love Micky Dee's fries. I agree they need to get back to work. :) Cute kitten or cat. But then all fur babies are cute.

With what you don't do on the machine, 4GB is plenty enough. I might add, my Windows 7 isn't 10 years old, I just built it in November 2018. ;) And it's my main computer.

I can't even imagine running Windows 7 pro on even 8 gigs of ram. Photoshop uses lots of memory so I need more than you do, I suppose.
-
fink, maybe you just need more that 4GB ram. :) I'm running 16GB on my Windows 7 Pro. But then I don't use the sidebar, could never figure out why I needed it.

To find small screws you can't see. He had several and placed them on a metal bar spaced apart about 6 inches, then he'd run the bar over an area, picking up all screws he'd dropped.
I used it one...

Just a tip, Rev. My brother used to break open old harddrives to get at the magnets inside. If this the standard drive, you could do that if you wanted to, those magnets are really strong.

I tried to get him to run the Ethernet cable inside the house but he said no. So I'm going to go ahead and use the TP-link router instead of what he wants. No wires and I would have had to buy the...

That sounds more complicated than I want it to be.
I tried to get him to connect to the box outside and use coaxial cabling, but he said he didn't want to drill any more holes. I don't understand...

Same subject different question.
Brother has decided after I bought the router that if I buy a 100ft of Ethernet cable, he'll run that from his router to my computer. My question is, would it be...

I doubt your boss will disable it. I'm sure he doesn't want you playing games on a work laptop.

Touch a metal part of your computer case. This will discharge any static electricity.
I haven't used a wrist band in years and so far haven't blown up any motherboards because I touch a metal...

Okay thanks. I forgot how to type that in the command window. It's been a long time since I had to use ipconfig. :D
And I do know I need to run as administrator.

I grabbed it. I've done firmware updates on my cameras and on cd drives before, but I'm not sure how to do this one. They do give a tutorial on how to, so I should be good to do it.
One more...

So I'm hard headed, a bit. :D I read but sometimes it doesn't sink in to what you said. At 70, I just chalk it up to old age, but I haven't lost my memory yet. I know my name and where I live. ;)...
