go to your device manager and under Creative Miscellaneous Devices (at least that's where it was on my computer) disable Creative SB16 Emulation, that should do that trick.

if you've got your motherboard manual around, try to find the correct jumper to displace to reset your CMOS, that should work and reset everything back to factory defaults.
