Hi all
Not been around for a while, come back because I need help big style.
Think my HDD's dead and I've lost everything all my photo's personal letters etc.
What can I do?

Doubt 550 watt is under powered, I know the PSU is not one of the big brands, but if it's not faulty it will be fine. Unless of course there's some monster graphics in there.

White is usually negative, if you get them the wrong way round the LED doesn't work.
Power & Reset either way is fine.
Always good to check the other connections before powering up though, as...

Seems people who have problems with Service Packs are owners of Big Brand machines Dell/HP. Must be a lesson there somewhwere :D

How about disconnecting the HDD and boot the computer with some sort of bootable CD. If that takes a long time you can rule out the HDD.
You could then try with the CD/DVD/floppy drives...

How about a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R iP35 or any other with the P35 chipset. If you are not going to overclock the stock Intel cooler is fine.

I use Gigabyte 95% of the time in my builds. I've used Asus a few times and I've had a few niggly problems, always thought they are over rated.
