Hmm. If you are doing video conversions, you'd need free disk space for processing. Did you check the Users folder for temp/dummy files created by the video convertor software? Normal cleaner apps...

Ok, you must be using 32-bit.
Users would probably be your data, so that's taking up the most space. You'll have to expand the list in order to see which files are taking up the most space.
