Systems hold DMI information and when hardware is changed the OS will freakout. Try finding a change DMI .exe for your BIOS/Motherboard and clear the DMI info.

You can check the MANUF site and see if this is an on going issue. LinkSys has issues a while back that would loose ID and password for your ISP every once and a while. Problem has long been fixed....
