I finally got the parts and replaced the burnt out diodes and 3 capacitors that had lost their wax due to the heat,
A tricky job, but worth it

I have found the problem.
The rectifier diodes are burnt, on the low voltage supply.
The output was down to 1 volt. I will also replace the smoothing capacitor when I can get the board out, since...

Finally got the seatools ISO DOS to boot and the disk passed.
Next to try will be a test on each memory module, separately.
After checking the disk it started twice OK and ran for several hours....

I had done exactly as above and the CD burn worked perfectly using the wizard. I also noted it was burning an image as it should.
All the files match the source

I'm having no luck with making a bootable CD.
I installed the ISO file on desktop, Installed the free burning software.
Clicked on copy to CD, which opened the CD burning wizard, used a blank CD....
