BernardP, From your specs i don't think you'd have any problem with burning as long as you don't try to do a lot of other stuff at the same time.
As to EasyCD vs Nero..The older versions of ECD...

Well, all i can add is i have bought 2 AOpen writers in the last 6 months. First was 12x10x32 and last was 12x10x32A with "just Link". I've had no problems with either one. Don't care "who" makes the...

Maxx, This probably isn't much help, but on my Asus boards. The led on the motherboard is to tell you power is still on. When you pull the plug or shut the power supply switch off, the light stays on...

Might try this Maxx,
In BIOS, set power mgmt. to disable. And, set power off to "soft off"(4 second wait 'til shut-off).
Don't think Windoze power settings are affecting it. But i could be...

The AOpen needs to be the 12x10x32(A) to have the burn proof. AOpen calls it "Just Link". Be sure you have "nothing" but Explorer and Systray running in the background when burning. And, you will see...

From the way you describe the slots on this card it sounds like it's an ISA card. And, if so, it will not work in a PCI slot even if you get it to fit in. It won't be recognized by the BIOS correctly...

Your very welcome. Also, as others mention, you need to be careful when installing the HSF. The SK6 is fairly easy if you get a straight blade screwdriver that fits the slot. And, do it from directly...
