Come to find out it's not his computer but works computer and he was trying to bypass security to cheat his company for wifi access for his phone. :(

Thanks Midknyte, I've passed the info on to the friend. He says phone is this: AVAYA 9641G VOIP phone. He's running Windows 7.

He wants to know if there is such a device that will allow him to do what he says above. He's not in a home. So, I'm assuming he travels.
