OK I got the recovery USB drive done. Looked at the link to see how to do it and it will allow me to do a full wipe and reload to factory settings. I just have to find time to do that. Thanks...

Recovery partition is missing. I didn't make a flash drive recovery disk before I added his name to this laptop.
