I would put the OS on a 2GB mirrored partition. Then programs on a seperate mirrored partition. After that put data on a Raid5.

Actually all you need to fix the page file thing is System with Full Control. That's even more secure.

That won't totally solve it if the port is an allowed port. ie. A lot of the time Firewalls don't see "Netscape or IE" they see "allow port 80". There are tools out there to take advantage of this...

Firstoff, goto http://www.foundstone.com/knowledge and get FPort to find out what ports are being used by what program. Then you could go into Services and kill/disable those one by one and reboot...

paulgrib, your best( easiest) bet is going to be to download a firewall product like Tiny PF. It runs on 2000 Server and you can use it to set rules as to what ports/programs/IP addys can see/...

80 & 443 = IIS
135- 139 + 445 = Netbios
Do whatever you need to keep these from the Internet and only on your network. If you are hosting a web page 80 is ok. 443 is ok if you are hosting a page...
