I am setting up a computer that will run an application, but I don't want anyone to be able to quit it.

what about the BIOS, does it detect the floppy disk. If it does, then I think a file is corrupt in you Operating System. If the BIOS isn't detecting it either, make sure the ribbon isn't plugged in...

It seems to be a hardware conflict somewhere.
Try removing the cd/dvd players and floppy drives.
Reboot the computer and see if the BSOD comes up again, if it doesn't, add it hardware one by one...

I tested the drive on another computer and it worked perfectly. I'm suspecting the secondary controller is whats causing the problem.
