AVG 2013 trial won't uninstall

I’m trying to uninstall a trial version of AVG Internet Security 2013 and it won’t uninstall. I’ve Googled this and I’ve found uninstall tools which in turn install their own software. I get an AVG error message that states the driver installation failed and the removal of the product failed.

I’m running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

What’s the best way to uninstall AVG?
