Can't connect to printer
Hi I have a computer running Windows 10 and have my Brother printer connected to it with a USB cable, no problems.
I connected my printer using wireless to my Bell high speed modem, no problem says it's connected.
However my laptop running Windows 7 does not seem to discover it. When I click add printer and choose wireless nothing shows up.
I can't seem to figure out what is wrong.
I've rechecked the settings numerous times and it just won't see it.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

When adding the printer to the Win 7 - you should see an option "not what you're looking for" or words to that extent. You can then manually type in the IP address.
I'm sure if I've seen a printer be hooked up both USB and wireless. Seems like that would be a conflict.

Use the install program and it will find it.
Be careful and you will get it set up the way you want it.
Had to do that with win7 and 10. So this laptop can either be USB or wireless.

Unless you are setting a static IP for the printer (I always do), you should use the installation software that came with the printer like Train mentioned.

Thanks guys. Your right! I should have remembered that, I had to do it before.
Worked like a charm.
