I'm probably asking a question that's been asked 1000 times here but....I have RCN internet 25Mbs with the standard Docsis Cable Modem and router. Placed them in a central spot in my home but still can't get a good signal in the room furthest away. Thinking I may need a more powerful wireless modem or router or whatever but don't want to spend a few hundred on one. What are my best options?
It sounds like your wireless signal isn't strong enough. What is the exact make/model of your modem and router? What kind of client devices are you talking about? Laptops, Ipads, etc?Quote:

You need to give more details. It's hard to recommend upgrades when we don't know what your current setup is.
I do not see a lot of options, but to buy a more powerful router .. Maybe you have thick walls ..
