Netscape or Quicktime problems

Hi, I posted this on the Windows 95 site, but it may be more apropriate here:

Ok, here's what happened. I loaded Netscape and after a while, the browser stopped responding (I could click on a link and nothing would happen), so re-started the computer and allowed scandisk to run. It found an error saying that the file size of Netscape was being misrepresented and it fixed the changes. I got back into windows and ran Netscape. It seemed to work fine, but then I tried to play a movie with the Quicktime plugin, and the computer locked up. So I restarted and scandisk ran again finding a bunch of information that "could be a lost file or directory but was probably just taking up space." So, I opted to delete it. Then it loads that feedback program (the one that usually comes up after netscape crashes). That's the only time it does it per session. Now, every time I try to run the Quicktime plugin, the same thing happens. My question: What is wrong?

Some useful info:
I recently changed the cache size by editing the vcache section of the system.ini file. I did that to fix a IOSUBSYS error. This may have something to do with it. I changed it to 6MB.

Other Backround Info:

I have Netscape Communicator 4.5

I also have Internet Explorer 3.? installed (I don't want it but it automatically installs with Windows and it doesn't give the option to uninstall in the add/remove programs section).

Update:

I uninstalled Quicktime and then re-installed it from the web. The same problem occurs when I try to run the plugin in Netscape, and I found out that whenever I try to play ANY movie, it locks the computer. When I try to play a movie from a file (not on the internet) with the Quicktime Player, it also locks up, but scan disk doesn't find any excess bytes when it scans the directory structure. So he problem seems to be localized mainly around Quicktime. Any insight? -- lucasaltic
