technical support required coserning video recording

hello, i really require a techinical help. currently am working on a project, am preparing a computer tutorial in a VCD and DVD format but the problem is when i try to record my desktop and everything that am working on it using a digital camera or a webcam the recorded movie is blured and totaly difficult to clearly see what ecactly is being done. as far as am conserned the best solution is to use a software that runs in the back ground and records everyting that is being done on the desktop. the problem is i dont know any software that can do this, do you? or do you see any other solution? please i need your help as fast as possible. :confused:
my operating system is windows XP.
