Home page not staying
I have IE 6.0 on windows 98 SE. I have my home page set to hotmail.com. I open IE, and its supposed to go right to my email account and i check my mail. I love it like that. In the past 2 days, my home page keeps changing itself to http://www.i-lookup.com/. It is not only inconvienent, the site itself pops up so many pop-ups, my POS pop up stopper cant even stop them all. This is a huge incovenience and I have to leave IE open so this doesn't happen.
It's weird because I'll reset the homepage back to hotmail, close the browser and open it back up and it will be hotmail. I'll open the browser 10 minutes later, and its back to that stupid site. I've went through MSCONFIG removed and deleted all spyware found. I tested it out by only going to MSN.com and it still happened so it can't be a certain site that is doing this. I really need this to be fixed. If I don't, I might do something horrible like use Netscape. Hehehe. Please help, thank you

Sounds like another case of Home Page hijacking, download Spybot and after installing it, run the update on it, to updates its files. Then scan your PC with it, it should find the culprit.

Hi there is a great little free program many of us use that prevents this sort of thing happening. It is called startpage guard and you can get it here:-

Yes, that was the culprit. These spyware people get smarter and smarter with hidding these programs. We need a congressman to come along and sign a bill to ban these terrible programs. I thank you 2 for your help. I was really getting frustrated with this. Say
Fuelm@n, would you know of any good pop-up stopper programs. I used to use the panicware.com one but the new version doesn't block all pop-ups.

I have used AdSubtract Pro for about 3 years. www.adsubtract.com I tried the new Panicware recently, but as you've said, I had the same problem and wasn't happy with it.
