Having benefitted greatly from the generosity of others on here (biga are you listening??), I've been enjoying the position of Supreme Being using a version of this file sharing program called Kazaa Lite 2.0.2 English [K++ v2.0 Edition].exe

If anyone can tell me why my download speeds have dropped dramatically in spite of my exalted status you'll be my friend forever -- that can really mean something great in the future for you, REALLY! Basically, a hack has afforded me the title just for the trouble of downloading and installing the program, but even though I've opened my coffers numbering almost 1000 titles to other users (which is supposed to keep my downloading ability peaking), speeds have really dwindled. Something with my settings???

Do you mean just the d/l speeds on Kazaa or in general?
If just with Kazaa, when you're uploading at the same time as you're downloading then d/l speeds can drop dramatically becaues upload bandwidth, typically much lower than download, will choke your speed.
Try temporarily turning off the file sharing option and see if your download speeds improve.

My guess is this:
Options, Advanced, check box "Optimal bandwidth use when computer is idle."
Use Kazaa Lite 2.1.0 instead. It has all the additional utilities (auto search more, speed up, etc) integrated into the program, as opposed to having them run along side as seperate utilities. Additionallly, you can download from up to 40 users at once instead of only 8 users that 2.02 allows.

there seems to be an increased internet activity ... dunno why but for like the last 2 weeks im at about 25-50% of what im used to ... ask me why ... ill tell you i dont know ... prolly has something to do w/ porn tho
also ... kazaa has been in the papers for the last couple of weeks ... might have something to do w/ that
damn casual dialup drones
