Orinoco wavelan problems in windows2000
hi all
On a Windows 2000 PC with a PCCard Bridge I use a Orinoco WaveLan Card (silver). After the Windows 2000 Installation, I can't make the card working fine again!
The following problems arised:
- I can install the driver (for Win2k) and the Orinoco Client manager. I provide a network (peer to peer) with the normal network name which I use.
- the Client (a laptop) manager sees the network in the Client Manager and the MAC address of my gateway. But my gateway sees neither the network nor the MAC address of any of the Clients in the network (I tried it with two laptop, and they have seen each other!).
- i can't ping the gateway , also not if I assign by hand on the laptop the MAC address to a IP address.
Under no circumstances a Arp Request got answered of the gateway.
First i tried the driver which was on the Orinoco CD. But when I installed this driver, it killed my Win2K. So i had to install it (win2k) from new!
Then i downloaded a new driver from the orinico homepage and installed it, this one doesn't kill my win2k but it also doesn't work
Under Linux everything runs perfectly,so I can exlude hardware problems.
Can someone help me with this problem?
thanks angela
