bios no cd
Okay, I've got a thread over in Windows98 about reinstalling windows on a laptop.....after getting into bios to check to see what was booting first, I came across something I have never seen before........there is only two options to start up in, floppy disk or harddrive, there is no option to set it to "a, c, or cdrom"
now what?......does that mean it's not reading a cdrom on this computer?...HELP!!!........losing patience with this laptop.....

Boot with a Win98 boot floppy and select with CDROM support.

Until a few years ago cdrom boot support (and other options) was not provided in bioses. And once it started appearing it was purely up to the particular manufacturer (mb/system) as to whether they wanted to implement it. In the last few years it has become standard.
