Having a strange issue. PC worked fine this morning, turned it on just now and it got as far as the Jmicron controller saying "detecting drives please wait"
Normally this takes seconds, however it now takes about 2 minutes. Eventually windows boots as normal. I made no installs or updates between the time i used the PC last.

Once windows has booted I keep getting BSOD's - specifically "device_driver_power_failure"
I have also noticed a drive not showing, I have an old IDE drive i keep documents etc from previous formats on
Not sure where to start on this one as i'm new to windows 8, any suggestions?

PC specs as follows:
Win 8 Pro (genuine copy!) 64 bit
Intel i5 2500K 3.3GHZ
G Skill 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1333mhz Ripjaws Memory Kit CL9 (9-9-9-24) 1.5V (although only currently running one as the other is being RMA'd)
Asus P8P67-M R3.0 Socket 1155 8 channel Audio ATX Motherboard
Asus GTX 570

Drives:
1 OCZ Vertex SSD
2x WD black caviar in RAID0
1x IDE

Started when I got a Sandisk SSD 120gb, and it was awful. Crashes, some things wouldn't work etc. So I put windows 8 on another HD partition. Then I took out the SSD to send it back. When I connected everything again, NOTHING. I tried everything, nothing. Opened it up again, everything was connected, ok. I sighed and went to install Windows 8 again.
It refuses to. I formatted the partition where it was, and it still refuses. "check setup log" what ******* use is THAT ? I tried to install on one of my other HDD's - nothing - refuses everywhere. Where I put it is empty. Deleted it, and reinstalled, still nothing still refuses everywhere. Either it wasn't proper this or that (GPT or something) or it just plain won't.
What the hells going on ? Windows 7 wont install either
I have i5 2500 Asus P8 motherboard, 4 HDD's 8gb ram
This is done from my wife's macbook
