An odd problem I've run into. Installed tclock.exe on my machine as well as two other computers with which I often try to help. All three use Windows7 Pro, 32bit. On my machine I can change the color of the font (black), also the background. On the other two systems, which have, basically, the same programs installed, we are unable to change color of the font. No matter what I color I select for the font it displays in a very light hue (like pink).

If anyone has had this problem and corrected it, I'd appreciate any suggestions. Guess it was designed for WinXP and previous versions, but it works on my system. BTW, I had d/l the program I used to a flash drive and copied that to the others.

Had a new computer delivered a couple of weeks ago. The manufacturers had created a user account UKGC with administrator rights.

I deleted that and created myself as the user with admin rights. When I look at control panel/user accounts I see myself as the sole user with admin rights. However, when I look at c/users/ I see public and UKGC as users with a padlock next to UKGC.

The problem I have is that I was copying some files manually between two folders and I kept being told that I needed administrator rights to do it.

I rang the manufacturers today and was told that they had to create UKGC as a user in the process of installing WIN 7 which I understand but they have no help to offer in sorting this problem out other than re-install WIn 7 which I really would like to leave as a last resort.

Any ideas please.

Yesterday my computer was working perfectly fine, but when I turned it on today it was unable to boot Windows. The two options on bootup are "Launch Startup Repair" and "Start Windows Normally", but both options go to System Recovery Options. Startup Repair cannot automatically fix the boot problem and gives the error "StartupRepairOffline" when it's run. The operating systems list is blank when I try System Image Recovery. System Restore also does not work. Memory diagnostics did not find problems when it was ran. The computer identifies the operating system as "Unknown on Unknown Local Disk" on the System Recovery Options menu. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS. I am hoping for an alternate solution to reinstalling Windows from the original disc.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Not sure this is the right forum. If it is not I can move it. I am helping a company running Windows 7 and Outlook 2007 on all their computers. They use AT&T email with several sub accounts. 2 users are having problems with their emails. Their accounts seem to get locked up daily and you have log into ATT webmail and log out to re-enable them. When this first started we had to call ATT to re-enable the accounts. Now it seems that just logging into webmail fixes the issue. I have noticed that both of their .pst files are just under the 20GB limit. I know Outlook won't let you have a pst file over 20GB but would it actually lock their ATT accounts if the file reached that size or would Outlook just be unable to start? I am trying to figure out what is causing just these 2 out of 10 accounts to have issues and the only common factor I've seen is the very large pst files they both have. I have checked for spyware and found none.
Has anyone else run across this before? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
