I was wondering which proxy server will allow use of ICQ Chat on each machine in my 4 node network? From Docs I read, ProxiI doesnt support it. Does Browngate? others? I'm trying to get this network setup, most of my machines are talking now, but now comes adding ICS/Proxy and the internet for each machine thru a HUB with a DIALUP ISP, and ICQ chat so each computer can chat on the NET with an individual NAME. <Via online Gaming> for GOLF Leagues <IE: Links2001> Your input /help greatly appreicated.
Thanks,

In terms of getting ICQ to run through a proxy, your best bet is to run proxy software that fully supports SOCKS5. I think BrowseGate does, but you should check the docs. If you can't find anything suitable there, then you can tell ICQ to use a HTTPS proxy (which any proxy will support once you enable web surfing) if you have to.
