Win2K and Win ME won't talk

I have a Win2K and WinME Pc connected to a 5 port hub. The hub is connected to an ADSL Modem. Both PC's can see the outside world with no problem but they don't see each other. For one fleeting moment the Win2K saw the WinME but then it disappeared. I'm running tcp/ip on both. Set up a user name with printer access on the Win2K but don't really know much about it. Both are in same workgroup Any ideas? I want to share printers and files.

Easy way is to add NetBUEI (protocol). If both of your PCs have different IPs (1: x.y.5.z & 2: x.y.10.z) then I think that NetBUEI is the only way to go.
