Hi Folks,
I've used the 192.168.1.x addresses to connect a couple of machines here at home. This works well for me and for multitudes of others.
I've recently moved to a cable modem here, and went ahead and used the NIC that I already had in the machine to connect to the cable modem. I'm now about to put a second NIC in this main machine so as to re-establish my networking with the other computer. Besides the above IP address, it seems like I read somewhere that there is another set beginning with 10.x.x.x that can be used in such a home setting. Any insights on this are welcomed! Thanks!
