We have a small intranet of about 20 PC's. They each have an ethernet card for file sharing, etc. They do not have modems installed. Is there a way to send a fax from a PC on this network via the ethernet card? If so, what software is needed, and how do you configure the PC's to do this?

Thanks

At least one of them must have a modem, only one. Then from the one that has a modem, go to the mail and fax in the control panel. Go to the services tab, then add Microsoft Fax. Go to properties, enter the information, then go to the modem tab. There will be a checkbox, "let other people on the network use my modem to send faxes. You will nave to set a directory and a share name. Speaking of which, you must have a Clients for microsoft networks and file and print sharing installed. Then you will have to go to each of the other computers and go through the same process that I told you to install microsoft fax on the computer with the modem, but when you select the modem, select network fax server. I think that you can handle the rest from there.
