Win98 Workgroup using NetBeui without internet access or exchange server. Is there an email package similar to Outlook to use so users can email each other? I understand Outlook is only for internet mail (ISP) or Exch Srvr. Win95 used to have a mail workgroup postoffice, but I dont think Win98 does. Any suggestions on emailing with a workgroup using NETBeiu and Win98?

I've seen good reviews of one called Office Talk.

Outlook can be used for inter-office email. You need to have a post office set up already and it'll work fine. If you need directions on setting a post office up, please post again. Otherwise you should have no problems. Please post if you have questions.
Good luck.

Thanks for your reply. Thats exactly what I wanted to do - set up a postoffice. I know you can do it in Win95 but what about Win98? Where do I find the post office software? Can you please post instructions? Your help is greatly appreciated.

I'm assuming you know how to set up a post-office but just don't have the post-office icon in your control panel, correct? If this is the case then from the win98 CD go to:
tools\oldwin95\message\us
and run WMS.EXE which will install the post-office files. You should then see the mail post-office icon in control panel and be able to create & administer a post-office for your win98 network. If you still have questions or problems, please post again.
Good luck.
