I am in need of an app that will batch convert pdf docs to, preferably, pcx or tif format. I know Photoshop has a batch conversion component, as does JASC PaintShop Pro, but converting pdf's is not as simple as, say, converting .jpg to .tif as both are already raster images.

We have a client who will be giving us some 500 B&W pdf images a month that need to be converted to .tif or .pcx so we can inkjet them onto a mail piece. Given a test I set up, this would take about 15 hours to complete. That just isn't an option for us. Any ideas?

Hi

Have you looked around for Action sets or Xtras/plug ins for any of the programs you already have? I feel sure that this type of batch work must have been dealt with by somebody already!

Good Luck.

Thanks for the quick input. Visionshape looks like it might the answer, especially if it supports batch conversion. I'll give it a shot and let you know.
